Fred Duckett Challenge Golf Event - About the Event

It is with great honor and enthusiasm that LCCF announces an even "bigger & better" third annual Amy & Vince's Fred Duckett Challenge March 6-8, 2009! Joining Richard O'Neal as co-chairs are Nancy Hinch and Penny Loyd. Hosting this year's extravaganza of world class golf, entertainment and camaraderie are Amy Grant, Vince Gill, David Feherty and LPGA pro Kris Tschetter benefitting Querencia's "official" charity LCCF. Querencia owner Charles Morgan and his team have invited the Questro Group to join together in providing two days of world class competitive golf at Querencia and Puerto Los Cabos.

Expanding the entertainment will begin with AA opening reception at the Questro Group's Campestre Beach Club with the renown "Al Jardine of the Beach Boys and the Endless Summer Band" and the biggest beach party of the season! Sunday night's finale with awards, dinner, auction and entertainment with host Amy Grant, Vince Gill and a special "surprise" guest entertainer will culminate the weekend festivities. So get ready to rock the beach with your favorite Beach Boys music and Grammy winners Amy Grant and Vince Gill at the Querencia finale.

Even with the expansion of golf and entertainment the Amy & Vince's Fred Duckett Challenge entry fee will be the same as the last two years — $20,000 per team or $5,000 per participant. Participants of the 2008 Fred Duckett Challenge will have the first option to register. Registration deadline is November 15, 2008. A registration deposit of $2,500 per golfer or $10,000 per team will be required at the time of registration. The remaining registration fee of $2,500 per golfer or $10,000 per team will be due by February 1, 2009.

The Amy & Vince's Fred Duckett Challenge was named after long time friend, member and Los Cabos leader, Fred Duckett, who passed away in 2006. Fred and his family's leadership and caring nature has been an inspiration for the Los Cabos Children's Foundation and represents everything that is good that we all love about Los Cabos.

The Los Cabos Children's Foundation is a U.S. 501c3 and Mexican AC with donatarios status whose mission is to "provide, medical, educational and humanitarian assistance to the children, their families and supportive organizations of the Los Cabos area". For over 6 years LCCF has assisted Amigos de Los Niños (ADLN), Liga Mac, CARE, Mobilize Mankind, Red Cross, DIF, LCWWF and numerous other charities and organizations financially, developmentally and resource wise to better assist the children, families and communities of Los Cabos. LCCF opened the Santa Josefina Blood Bank in the Los Cabos area and has worked with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in opening the Amy & Vince's Spirit of Joy Children's Cancer Center this past June.
